Elle fait un peu "cracra" la finition de ces VOT.
Je suis un peu hors sujet (une fois de plus) mais il faut impérativement poncer soigneusement le bois que l'on veut laisser apparent sous une lasure (ou toute autre application perso: par ex. pigments en poudre + huile de lin et thérébentine 50/50 ou 60/40 + un peu de siccatif + vernis incolore finition "cirée" 2 couches). Pour le dosage pigments/huile/théré, faire quelques essais - après ponçage - sur un coin qui ne sera pas visible.
Si on ne finit pas le ponçage avec du grain de 180 ou 220 (ou plus fin), le bois réagit à la teinture et donne un piqué rouge quelle que soit la teinture ou presque, avec des traces foncées là où le bois est resté trop brut.

Boonjour TBOLL,
Le VAS des 400-2000 et EX est relativement petit environ 400L de mémoire. Ce qui n'est pas favorable a une enceinte de grand dimension.
Il vaut mieux prendre des ALTEC's, JBL's avec un grand VAS, une FR basse, un QTS entre 0,24 et 0,4 un BL autour 1,4 et un mms entre 58g et 75 g.
Mais le projet parait intéressant. Il faudrait tout en s'approchant des dimensions du nombre de la régle d'or augmenter la distance entre le HP et le fond de l'enceinte et passer le pavillon en hyperbolique.
Et Raoul a raison le fait de descendre va à l'encontre d'une coupure haute. L'enceinte actuelle est a mon avis déjà limite, une grande enceinte est coupée idéalement à 250 hz à 300 Hz.

Je viens de vérifier sur le site de Supravox. Effectivement, le VAS du 400-2000 EXC ne dépasse pas 430 litres en fonction de l'alimentation et pour le 400 Alnico le Vas n'est pas donné.
Une question bête : où trouver des HP Altec ou des JBL ?

Pour les JBL, les revendeurs ne manquent pas.
Thomann vend à bon prix les JBL neufs encore dispo (de même que des Electrovoice etc.) http://www.thomann.de/fr/haut_parleur_15_pouces.html

Voilà une inspiration ALTEC VOT la Blue Thunder de Christian Rintelen Bass Reflex + Pavillon avant, ici Tractrix carré avec des HP Audiom 15VX2. Le fond du HP est éloigné du fond de l'enceinte.

J'ai contacté Christian Rinselen qui m'a gentiment indiqué quelques informations complémentaires
"it's been a long, long time since we built the blue thunder speakers, so i do not really remember all the details. however, the tractrix horn is calculated to go down to 100, 150 hz (i do not remember, really). frequencies below that are bass reflex (of course there is a roll-off at the lower range of the tractrix horn, it's not a 48 db/octave cut!). we measured the blue thunders to be flat to around 35 hz if i remember correctly. and yes, i am still using them daily, still with the audiom drivers (which are great, but no longer available).
by the way: an italian manufacturer boldly copied the design of the blue thunders and sells his "replica" for € 19'000/piece. Di Prinzio, uses a 15" Supravox woofer, a 2" TAD 4001 mid and a TAD ET 703 tweeter. All these drivers use powerful AlNiCo magnets.
