in his 1997 Manifestation du Mars William Walther demonstrated, among others, an Onken 3-way system consisting of Onken W, TAD TD-2001/SC-500 wood (needed special connectors), OS 5000T. M. Walther just used an additional 0,47 µF Aerovox MKP capacitor (on the IPC cinema x-over !) to bring in the tweeters, and the TD-2001 had no high pass. I found the sonic results to be stupendous that time.
