very cool pictures of vintage stuff.

I owned exactly this early stereo model of an old Ampex tape recorder with tube electronics when I was young.

I had got it from a scientific research lab in Heidelberg where I was working at. It was used former times to record the beeps transmitted to the earth by the first russian satellite the 'sputnik'.
