http://www.airexbaltekbanova.com/airex-r...-foam.html donne les précisions suivantes :
AIREX® R63 - damage tolerant structural foam
AIREX® R63 is a closed-cell, linear thermoplastic rigid foam (manifestement, rien à voir avec la mousse des tapis ! ) with extremely high damage tolerance and very durable characteristics. The foam achieves above-average adhesion of face sheets and can be formed into simple 3D structures without being heated. AIREX® R63 is an excellent core material for dynamically stressed sandwich structures that absorb impact energy
Properties
• Extremely impact resistant (no brittle fracture behavior)
• Excellent thermoformability (cold and warm)
• Dimensionally stable
• Excellent fatigue properties
• Excellent adhesion
• Non-decomposable
• Excellent sound absorption and thermal insulation
Applications
• Boat and ship construction (hull bottom, side walls)
• Rail and road vehicles (control stand, side skirts, collision protection)
• Aerospace (explosion-proof freight containers)
• Recreation (surfboards, canoes, kayaks)
• Industrial components (containers, shelters, helmets)
